I’m really rubbish at doing things with the iPhone photographs I take. About a week ago I printed out about 50 Hipstamatic/Instagram shots to put up, but was thwarted by a lack of blu-tak. And now I’m just too busy to do it!
So here’s a little roundup of what’s been happening in the world lately :)

Part of this amazing group!
I’ve always wanted to learn how to screenprint. Spending all day every day creating on a computer means that I really love the chance to get stuck in and actually create something with my hands.
Today I took part in Print Club London’s one day beginners screenprinting course, and in my 5 years in London I’d say it’s basically one of the best things I’ve ever done here. The instructors were passionate and helpful (and there donating their own time for free), the setup was great, and all the participants excited and enthusiastic. It was a fantastic setup and amazing to finally learn how screenprinting is really done.
It was such a great day, and I know I’ll be joining Print Club and heading back there as soon as I can come up with some awesome designs to screenprint. I’m thinking of some cushion covers…
(Note: I wish I could take credit for the amazing lady background - it was a scrap piece of paper that I saw and just really wanted to print on. As this was a beginners class I kept it simple by just doing something typographic. But I’m so happy with how this looks on this lovely lady…)

Nom! I bought a little smoothie maker, and I’m really excited about all the good stuff I’m going to make. First up was a strawberry, kiwi fruit and banana yoghurt smoothie :)

Today was a good day. The past few months have been a bit difficult, the past week even more so. So when you get a chance to see a really lovely friend and actually honestly laugh, it’s really kind of wonderful. There’s no antidote to heartache. Or regret. Nothing I can do about it. Everyone goes through tough times. I’m no more special or different than anyone else. But today was a good day with a wonderful friend. And that’s pretty awesome :)
I went to Ozone Coffee Roasters on the weekend with some lovely friends - hands down the best coffee I’ve ever had in London. So happy to find more great brunchy coffee places to feed the addiction… It was so good, in fact, that I’m going back for brunch on Saturday :)
I always try to decide what I want to buy before I get to the supermarket, to avoid temptation. But when temptation looks like these beautiful things, I sometimes let myself be led astray.

I take a lot of photos. Especially with my iPhone, as I can’t always lug around my big camera with me. I usually forget about them, which I think is a shame… So I’m thinking of trying to do some kind of ‘week in review’ so I can remember the days as they pass by. So, I hereby present to you 13-17 February, 2012.
(1) At repro, signing off Issue 27 of the magazine
(2) Valentines Day signage at my local cafe, Fix.
